Regional Charity Partner
Women's Running proudly supports Look Good Feel Better (LGFB), the only cancer support charity that helps women and teenagers manage the visible side effects of cancer treatment. LGFB is dedicated to improving the wellbeing and self-esteem of people undergoing treatment for any type of cancer and does this through free confidence boosting Workshops and Masterclasses which are held across the UK. Finding out you have cancer is life-changing and the stress of the appearance-related side effects can feel overwhelming. The Workshops are led by beauty trained volunteers who share makeup and skincare advice, teaching vital skills such as how to draw on missing eyebrows and eyelashes and combat changes to the skin. The sessions are also an opportunity for women to meet others going through a similar situation.
By taking part in the Women’s Running Race Series you can use it as an opportunity to fundraise for Look Good Feel Better and help many more people face cancer with confidence. Sadly, 165,000 women are newly diagnosed every year in the UK, which means that demand for our services is greater than ever. Your support is vital to enabling us to reach many more people in desperate need of a confidence boost at a time when diagnosis and treatment has taken over their lives. When you register to run for Look Good Feel Better you will be sent a branded running vest, training advice, and dedicated fundraising pack to ensure you hit your target. Our experienced fundraising team will be on hand to support you right through from registration to crossing the finish line.
