Triathlon

The Fix Events returned to our Triathlon home at the stunning Dorney Lake in Windsor for our All Nations 5k and 10k as a well as our All Nations Triathlon.  The 5k and 10k kicked off around 9.20am with some great times being posted by our brilliant runners as they completed laps of the beautiful 2012 Olympics venue lake. 

 

Shortly afterwards we got our Triathletes to the rivers edge and set off the starter horn and the first wave of triathletes hit the water for the 400 metre open water swim.  The cold water obviously got the blood pumping though as our competitors bravely battled back to dry land before hopping on their bikes for four laps (20k) of Dorney Lake, and then finishing it all off with a 5km run up and back down one side of the Lake.

 

Special mention to Oxford and Cambridge Triathletes who completed a slightly longer distance swim and who absolutely smashed the cycle and run afterwards.  Some fantastic times posted by those guys!
