Running
By Nathan Birdsall
It was another beautifully clear morning that welcomed us to Richmond Park again this month, as we arrived early to set up our run route and organise our event hub the skies were blue and the deer were out to say hello too!
As it was London Marathon weekend we suspected a bit of a lower turn out that normal but were pleasantly surprised as our runners arrived en-mass to create a great buzz and a friendly atmosphere in our hub space. Starting at 10am sharp our runners took off from the East Sheen car park towards the Queens Road/Star and Garter roundabout, left onto Sawyers Hill and then all the way along, up and down a couple of hills, and left again back towards Sheen Gate and into our hub space.
Our marshals were there to hand out medals and water at the finish line as everyone hung around for a while discussing the course and their times around the water station. We pride ourselves on a welcoming, friendly atmosphere at The Fix Events and once again we delivered!
Some great times were posted and the results for the top three in each race can be found below!
Female 5k: 1st. Georgina Messenger, 2nd. Andrea Hirt, 3rd. Aldona Greenwood
