What To Do in Windsor

Inspiration

If so If you have never been to Windsor before, why not make a day or weekend of it? Here are a few places you should definitely try and visit while you are in the area:

You cannot miss going to the lovely Windsor Castle, the family home to British kings and queens for over 1,000 years. It is in fact it is the largest and oldest occupied Castle in the world and well worth a visit if you have the time.

If it is a sunny day, I would highly recommend going on a Boat Trip along the Thames. There are some lovely views and what better way to rest those legs after a Triathlon!

If you are stuck for time and want to experience everything in one, then why not book yourself onto an Open Top Bus Tour. They begin just outside the Castle and take approximately 60 mins. You can also hop-on and hop-off wherever you like, if you fancy enjoying a bit more of the scenery.

There is a fantastic Natural History Museum at Eton College for anyone wanting to get a bot more knowledge about the surroundings and houses 15,000 specimens in total!

A bit further afield, and especuially if you have young children, there is the amazing Legoland. This has over 55 interactive rides, attractions, live shows, building workshops and driving schools, not to mention a staggering 80 million LEGO bricks, all set in 150 acres of beautiful parkland. Maybe more for a weekend visit.

Anyone wanting to relax with a game of golf, the fabulous Wentworth Golf Club is just down the road. There are 3 championsip courses to choose and it is definitely an experience worth trying out!

For those just wanting to relax and celebrate with a bit of food and drink in the sunshine (fingers crossed), there are a fantastoic range of Pubs and Restaurants, including The 2 Brewers, The Windsor Castle, Carpenters Arms or the Palmer Arms.

Whatever you do, we hope you have a fantastic time and enjoy your visit to this beautiful town.
