Every run tells a story...

Running

Every time when I see people running I'm fascinated by their passion and drive. People running 10 kilometres pushing baby buggies, running with their children, families or friends. They are supporting big causes; they are wearing T-shirts with prints in honour of whom they have taken the challenge for. There are so many untold stories and every single one of them is precious and moving.

People who take part at MoRunning often have a cause connected with men's health, Shane O' Malley who’s second MoRun was six weeks after prostate surgery. He wrote…"Important to prove to myself that life goes on."

...or Geoff Robinson who shares his precious moment with his boy…who proudly wrote…"he beat me and got an extra Mo... this time son, this time!"

...or people like Stephen Curry who completed this year Great North Run for a charitable organisation wrote that "The mo-running concept intrigued me, men's health is important, my father died at a youth age of 52. I also like the running community, I like to encourage people of their efforts, and motivate newbies."

...or men's enthusiasm and desire for new discoveries like Tracey Bright who have chosen to do MoRunning this November for the first time as she recently had knee surgery and felt the need to get back into running. She didn’t stop there; she encouraged her best friend to run alongside...."We decided we would do this to help the charity in memory of my friend's father in law who passed with prostate cancer and her brother in law who was diagnosed with one, in time luckily! So 5k, rain, mud, puddles, sweat and friendship! Bring it on!"

All of these people and many others are the heroes of MoRunning who sometimes feel "Mo-tivated, Mo-tashtic, Mo-veing", as Adam Mayer says. Perhaps not always so heroic, but they keep running. If you want to be part of this amazing journey and run shoulder to shoulder with heroes like yourself, come on board!

When you step up at that start line, look around and remember friends are all around you! Give them a smile, give them a high five and just remember we are all in this together.

We praise you for your commitment to the MoRunning community and the difference you make in supporting this great cause.

Every run tells a story...

Make it yours!
